SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The North American Sports Group,
owner of Hoop It Up 3x3 Grassroots Basketball Festivals, announced today the
hire of Kevin Bovet as its Director of Development. In his new position, Bovet will work to
continue Hoop It Up’s partnership with USA Basketball as well as FIBA, the
international governing body of basketball.
Bovet will also work to expand the reach of Hoop It Up and 3x3
basketball globally.
Bovet joins Hoop It Up after working with FIBA since 2007.
While with FIBA, he helped orchestrate the launch of 3x3 basketball, a
revolutionary sport and digital initiative that is being considered for
inclusion in future Olympic Games.
He also directed the association’s 213 country members to
improve their administration and sport structures, as well as worked on the
NBA’s jointly conducted Basketball Without Borders program.
“I’m very excited to join the Hoop It Up team and to
continue my efforts in growing the game of 3x3 basketball,” said Bovet. “Hoop It Up is the premier national 3x3
basketball tour and with our partnerships with USA Basketball and FIBA, we hope
to bring the excitement of 3x3 to new and existing fans around the world.”

not only in the Americas, but worldwide as well,” said Rob Thompson, managing
partner of the North American Sports Group, which owns and operates Hoop It Up
3x3.
Bovet holds a MSc degree in sports management and marketing
from the University of Lausanne in his native Switzerland. Bovet will be based in New York City.
